The above described problem occurs if the Distribution group is created and mail-enabled using Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA). The DRA console passes the legacyExchangeDN property in the form:
/o=org/ou=First Administrative Group
Instead of:
/o=org/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=alias
fix
This problem has been identified by NetIQ and has been fixed in Service Pack 1 for Directory and Resource Administrator 7.0.
