When cloning a mailbox, the Assistant Admin is provided with the Exchange 5.5 mailbox tab and must fill in the required information before they are allowed to click Finish. However, in spite of filling in the required information for the Exchange 5.5 mailbox, it does not get created and no error messages are returned.

The above issue occurs because the Directory and Resource Administrator client does not do a granular power checking.

Assistant Admins that are delegated the 'Clone Exchange 5.5 Mailbox' and 'Modify General Properties' power are able to clone an Exchange 5.5 mailbox from an existing mailbox.

The above issue occurs because the Directory and Resource Administrator client does not do a granular power checking.
fix
This problem has been identified by NetIQ and fixed in Service Pack 1 for Directory and Resource Administrator 7.0.
The following workaround is available to address this problem:
- Delegate the Clone Exchange 5.5 Mailbox and Modify All Properties powers to the Assistant Admin in the associated ActiveVeiw (instead of the Modify General Properties power).
- Verify that the Assistant Admin can clone the mailbox.
