VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows is incorrectly reporting that Java Virtual Machine is not installed.

VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows installation halted with an error to file, xmldso.cab.

Error: 'Access denied.'

cause
This problem occurs if the Microsoft Virtual Machine is not patched to version 5.00.3810.

fix

The fix for the above issue can be found in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article:

This update upgrades the Microsoft VM to version 5.00.3810.

After applying the Microsoft VM security update package, restart the system, and then VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows will install successfully.
