To collect logs, follow these steps:

  1. Log into VigilEnt Security Manager.

  2. Go to Tools | Options on the menu bar.

  3. Select the Other tab.

  4. Change the debug level to 6.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Attempt to do the action that was causing the problem or error.

  7. The logs are located in the two following locations:

    • .\Program Files\NetIQ VigilEnt Security Manager\VSOC\VSOC_exceptions.log
    • .\Program Files\NetIQ VigilEnt Security Manager\VSM\Error.log
