Resolution

goal
Why is a guest account created in VigilEnt Security Agent for Sybase 1.0x?

fact
VigilEnt Security Agent for Sybase 1.0x

fix
The guest account is required for Audit Manager in order for the user defined triggers to trigger properly.  The user that is performing the action (insert, update and delete) needs to have access to the sqlcqr_master database so that the procedures can be executed and so that the audit data is written to our tables.  If no guest account was present, the triggers would fail.  The only alternative would be to have every login added as a user to the sqlcqr_master database.
