When resetting password the 'User must change password at next logon' flag gets unchecked if the 'Generate Password' option is unchecked.

symptom
The 'User must change password at next logon' flag gets unchecked if the 'Generate Password' option is unchecked when an Assistant Admin attempts to reset the password of a user account.

symptom
When resetting the password of a user account, the Assistant Admin must manually check the 'User must change password at next logon' flag if the 'Generate Password' option is unchecked when resetting the password using the Win32 GUI.

cause
The 'User must change password at next logon' flag is incorrectly tied to the 'Generate Password' checkbox in the Accounts and Resource Management and the Configuration and Delegation Management console.

fix

This issue is resolved in Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) 7.5 and later.  The "User must change password" is unchecked by default, which is the same behavior as native tools.

Upgrade to the latest version of DRA to resolve this problem.
