Show AntiVirus Software Application report does not detect Trend Micro ServerProtect Antivirus software even though it is installed.

fix
To report on the Trend Micro ServerProtect Antivirus Software application, follow these steps:

  1. In VigilEnt Security Manager, go to Managed Groups | My Groups, and drill down to select the end points that you wish to change.

  2. Hit F7 to bring up the Run Task Suite Wizard.

  3. Select the Windows tab and click the Actions radio button.

  4. From the Available Tasks window, expand System, and scroll down to the bottom to select the Update Antivirus Settings task.

  5. Move the Update Antivirus Settings task to the Tasks to Run window (right) and click Next.

  6. Enter the parameters as specified below:

    1. APPNAME*: Trend Micro ServerProtect (or whatever you want to call it)

    2. MODE*: Service

    3. SERVICENAME*: SpntSvc

    4. CURRENTVER: REGLOCAL#\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSApiNt#Version#String

  7. Once this is complete, click Finish and you are ready to run the Show Antivirus Software Application report.

By default, the Show AntiVirus Software Application report only looks for Norton AntiVirus, Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition, or McAfee VirusScan. To report on other AntiVirus software applications, run the Update AntiVirus Settings action.
