The Assistant field in Exchange 5.5 corresponds to the Secretary field in Exchange 2000.   The Secretary field is not exposed in Active Directory Users and Computers by default, nor is it available in the Directory and Resource Administrator User Interface.

 

In order to manage the Secretary field the Web Console can be customized to expose this field.
