Please refer to the following steps to collect log files for the following:

VigilEnt Engine

  1. Open Windows Explorer and go to %program files%Pentasafe\VigilEnt Engine\VigilEntengine.properties .
  2. Open the VigilEntengine.properties file and change the 'DebugLevel' to DEBUG.
  3. Close the file and save the changes.
  4. Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Services (FOR WINDOWS NT) or  click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services (FOR WINDOWS 2000).
  5. Locate the 'VigilEnt Engine' service, right-click and select Stop.
  6. Right-click the VigilEnt Engine Service and select Start.
  7. A log will be created with the name PSEngSrv.log.

VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows

  1. Click Start | Run, type Regedit and select Enter.
  2. Go to:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Pentasafe\VSANT.
  3. Change the 'DebugEnable' value to 8 Hexidecimal.
  4. Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Services (FOR WINDOWS NT) or  click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services (FOR WINDOWS 2000).
  5. Right-click the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows Service and select Stop.
  6. Right-click the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows Service and select Start.
  7. This will create a file called Agentlog.txt in the %program files%Pentasafe\VSANT folder .
