Although it is not recommended, you can have multiple versions of Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) servers in a Multi-Master Set.  However, if all servers in a Multi-Master Set are not at the same version, DRA will be unable to synchronize the Multi-Master Set, which means that any changes to the DRA Security Model, Policy and Automation trigger changes and configuration changes will not be replicated to all servers.   All servers will be functional and Assistant Admins will be able to perform their regular tasks.

Assistant Admins will only be able to connect to one version of the DRA server depending on the client version being used.  For more information on DRA client compatibility, please refer to the following Knowledge Base article:
