DRA failed to synchronize the following secondary server(s) to the DRA_Server Name primary server: DRA_Server Name.

Cause

The issue can be caused if the Microsoft registry setting which defines what account can access the registry does not include the Service Account.

Fix

In 2003 and in 2000, remote registry access can be managed by setting the security on the following registry key:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurePipeServers\ winreg

To check permissions, right-click winreg, click Permissions and then edit the current permissions or add the users or groups to whom you want to grant access.  Exit regedit and reboot the machine.
