Error: 'An unsupported operation was attempted' when trying to launch VigilEnt Security Operations Center.

cause
A dll is missing or corrupt.

fix

To resolve this issue, reinstall the VigilEnt Security Operations Center (VSOC) GUI.

  1. Close all Windows applications and have other users log out of VSM.
  2. Run Setup from VSM 4.1.
  3. Click Begin Setup.
  4. Click Next at the next screen.
  5. Accept the license agreement and click Next.
  6. Select Production and click Next.
  7. Select the User Interface checkbox ONLY and click Next.
  8. Select the Remove Previous Version checkbox and click Next for installation to complete.
