Resolution

fact
VigilEnt Security Agent for iSeries 5.4/7.0

fact
VigilEnt Security Agent for AS/400 5.3/6.3

symptom
The PS* Authorization lists did not get deleted during the uninstall.

cause
The uninstall process does not remove the PS* Authorization Lists.

fix

To delete the PS* Authorization lists, open a Command Line and perform the following:

  1. Type the following from a Command Line and press Enter: WRKAUTL PS*.
  2. Insert option 8=Display objectsin list next to the lists to see if there are any objects linked.
  3. If there are linked objects, delete them so long as there is no need for them.  Be sure they are not objects that are needed going forward.
  4. After the objects are deleted, attempt to delete the authorization list with option 4=Delete.

note

It may be necessary to do a Reclaim Storage (RCLSTG) to resolve the issue if the steps above do not allow deletion of the Authorization Lists.
