symptom
Alerts being sent to a pager are missing the message description of the Microsoft Event.

cause

The VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows Detect sends the same message content regardless of the delivery method chosen.  Paging is not an alert delivery option offered in the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows Detect product.   If your environment has been configured to hook the alert e-mail with paging, any issues you are experiencing are beyond the scope of the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows product support.



fix

 You can modify your configuration options using the following instructions:

  1. Open VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows Detect by clicking Start | Programs | Windows Agent | Configure | VSANT Detect.
  2. From the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows Detect rules tree select the rule in question.
  3. Double-click the action and select the tab where the Pager settings were modified and change accordingly.
