Error received in job log. 

symptom
Diagnostic message 'System Cross Reference files are damaged' is received along with error message in the job log when attempting to apply CUM PTF.

cause
This indicates the IBM OS System Cross Reference files are damaged.

fix
To resolve this issue, please issue the following command to reclaim storage:  

RCLSTG

Then, follow with an IPL of your machine.  NetIQ recommends regularly scheduled IPLs to avoid and/or resolve such issues.
