Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x
NT_Configlogicaldisks Knowledge Script
NT_LogicalDiskspaceLR Knowledge Script

Situation

How do I clear the NT_Configlogicaldisks Knowledge Script settings in the local repository.
"Empty LogicalDisk List" event message

Resolution

When you drop the knowledge script to configure the drives, it will place an entry into the MCSSJCDictionary table in the local repository of each agent.

When you want to make a change as to which disks to monitor,  re-run the script with new settings. It will then use these settings.

Only one NT_Configlogicaldisks knowledge script can be configured on an agent. If a second job is run with different settings, then these new settings will be used for ALL NT_LogicalDiskspaceLR jobs.

If the NT_ConfigLogicalDisk knowledge script is executed, with the disk field blank, it will update the entry with a blank field, and retain the other settings (thresholds for example).

If the NT_LogicalDiskSpaceLR knowledge scriptis executed , you will get the following event message:

"Empty LogicalDisk List "

A cold-start ("-o") of the Netiq Appmanager Client Resource Monitor Service will not clear the table, you must perform a cold-start using startup parameters "-oa".

This will completely eliminate all entries from the MCSSJCDictionary table.
