Symptom
Error 'SQL1394N The instance is not defined' when running install or ckdb2.

Fix
If you receive an error message ?SQL1394N The instance is not defined? when attempting to monitor an instance while running the component install or ckdb2 utility this means the instance is not correctly configured or has been incorrectly removed from the DB2 system.

The DB2 UNIX managed object will not be able to monitor such instances. You should skip this instance.
