Directory and Resource Administrator client install does not create any install log files.

Directory and Resource Administrator client interfaces installed using GPOs do not create any install log files.

The install log files created if the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) clients are installed on a machine by running the Setup.exe, SetupClients.exe, or the NetIQAdmin.msi are not created if the MSI file is used to install the clients using a GPO.
cause
This is because GPOs do not allow one to specify a log file because of which the install logs are not created on the client machine.
fix
To create the log files when the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) clients are installed using GPO, set the Logging policy in the GPO by modifying the GPO as follows:

To create the log files when the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) clients are installed using GPO, set the Logging policy in the GPO by modifying the GPO as follows:
This will create a log file called MSI*.log in the %TEMP% folder of the user. If the GPO is assigned to a computer the log file will be created in the system Temp folder.Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Windows Installer
Enable the Logging policy and set the Logging mode string to voicewarmup.Â
