Error: 'A constraint violation occurred.' When Adding a User Account to the Delivery Restriction Tab in Directory and Resource Administrator

symptom

This error may occur when adding a user account to the Delivery Restrictions of a global distribution group.

symptom

The problem may occur when Assistant Admins performs this operation connected to one DRA server and may not when performing the same operation on another.

cause
This problem occurs because some ASP files may have not been updated successfully during the upgrade process and are of an older DRA version.

fix

In order to resolve this issue ensure that the following file has a create date of 12-20-2002:

• c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DraWeb\Admin\lib\js\Cached_Forms\GroupProperties.js

If the file is not of the correct version, you may copy it from a DRA server that is functioning properly.

This issue is resolved in Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) 7.0 and later. Upgrade to the latest version of DRA to resolve this problem.
