Unable to open the Data Presenter to view reports..

One possible cause of this issue is due to a corrupt user profile on the workstation running VigilEnt Security Operations Center.  In order to run the Data Presenter, to view a report, VigilEnt Security Manager needs to have the ability to write temporary files to the users temporary directory that is defined within the users profile.


To resolve this issue, the user profile must be deleted and re-created.  To delete the user profile, login to the specified machine as an account with admin privileges on the machine.  You cannot delete the profile logged in as the user in which you are deleting the profile. Follow the suggested steps below to delete the profile:

  1. From the Windows Desktop, right-click  My Computer and select Properties.
  2. Click the User Profiles tab.
  3. Select the corrupted User Profile and click Delete.
  4. Click Yes to delete the profile.
  5. Click Cancel to exit out of the My Computer properties window.

NOTE:  When the user account, of the profile that was deleted,logs back in, the profile will be re-created and saved upon logout.
