symptom
Error: 'Servername is hosting server for agent and cannot be deleted' when attempting to delete a System.

cause
The agent hosting the System must be removed prior to removing the System.  In addition, the Endpoint must be removed prior to removing the Agent hosting the System.

fix

To determine which Agent or Agents are hosting a System and need to be removed from VigilEnt Security Manager (VSM), follow the steps below:

1. Logged in as a VSM administrator, launch the 'VigilEnt Security Operations Center'.
   
2. Under the IT Assets node, highlight the System node.
   
3. In the right pane, right-click on the System you wish to remove and select Properties.
   
4. Click the Agent tab.  This view a list of host agents that will need to be removed from VSM in order to remove the System.
