Situation

The GPG Server fails to start or fails to process any events.

Collector services fails to start or fails to process any events.

Resolution

To resolve this issue verify that the service account has the following priviledges:

  • Local administrator privileges (for access to the local event logs).
  • Domain administrator privileges (for remote access to the domain controller security logs).
  • Logon as a service rights to run as a service.


Cause

The issue is usually caused if the service account used for the GPG Server or Collector does not have the required privileges.
