The VigilEnt service user account is the default VigilEnt Database account in VigilEnt Security Manager (VSM). Because VigilEnt User Manager (VUM) uses the same user name and password as VigilEnt Security Manager, you must set the VigilEnt Database user credentials in VigilEnt User Manager when the user name and password in VigilEnt Security Manager are changed. Perform the following steps to set the VigilEnt Database user password.

  1. Using Microsoft Windows Explorer, open the install_folder\bin directory, where install_folder is the path to your installation directory.

  2. Locate and open the veuser.bat file. The VE User window opens.

  3. Click Set Database User Credentials.

  4. In the User Name field, enter the user name for the VigilEnt Database account.

  5. In the Password field, enter the password for the VigilEnt Database account.

  6. Click Apply. A dialog box appears indicating that the user credentials have been successfully set.

  7. Click OK. The dialog box closes.

  8. In the VE User window, click Exit. The VigilEnt Database user credentials are now set.
