symptom
Reports hang in pending tasks queue in VigilEnt Security Manager.

cause
Reports will hang in pending tasks if the machine does not meet minimum hardware requirements (primarily memory requirements) and/or if the application event logs on the target machine are full.

fix

To increase the size of the event logs on the target machine, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings | Control Panel | Event Viewer.

  2. Right-click the appropriate log (Security, System, or Application) and select Properties.

  3. Select Overwrite as needed.
