symptom
The 'Directories with many files' report is returning incorrect data.

symptom
The 'Directories with many files' report is not returning all files in the directory.

cause
The task parameter has not been entered as recursive.  In the 'Run Task Suite Wizard', the ROOT* parameter for the 'Directories with many files' task must be entered with a "\" at the end of the directory path to make it recursive in version 3.0 and earlier of the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows.

fix

To enter the task parameter as recursive, follow the steps below:

1. Access the Run Task Suite Wizard in VSM.
   
2. Select the Windows tab | Available Tasks | Directories with many files task.
   
3. Double-click the task to send it to the Tasks to Run pane. 
   
4. Click Next.
   
5. Locate the ROOT* parameter on the next screen and enter a back-slash (\) at the end of the directory path.
   
6. Click Finish.
