Core services is not updated when installing VigilEnt Security Manager 3.0 SR1.

Database is not updated when installing VigilEnt Security Manager 3.0 SR1.

cause
Core services and the database may not be upgraded if the Services window or other applications were open at the time the upgrade was being done.

fix

To resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

  1. Close all applications before beginning.

  2. Install again and this time, on the Select Components to Upgrade screen with two check boxes, check only Upgrade VSM Console.

  3. When that process completes, go through the install again and this time, and at the Select Components to Upgrade screen check only the box, Upgrade VSM Core Services and Database.

  4. To see if the install has been successful, log in to VigilEnt Security Manager and go to Help | About. The version numbers should be:

    • VigilEnt Security Manager version 3.0.101
    • Core Services build 68
    • Database version 3.0.109
