How can I determine if the correct firewall ports have been opened for Security Checkup reports?

fix

To determine if the correct ports for Security Checkup Reports are open on the firewall transpose the ports as outlined below:

  1. Go to Start | Programs | ViglEnt Security Manager | VigilEnt Security Manager Configuration Utility.
  2. Select the 'Ports' tab and change the server port to 1626.
  3. Select the 'Settings' tab and change the second server port to 1621.
  4. Go to Tools | Options and change the Core Services Settings IP port to 1626.
  5. Select Apply then OK.

When a regular system or common report is run it will now be routed through port 1626. When the Security Checkup Report is run it will be routed through port 1621. If one of these reports fails this will determine if a specific port on the firewall has not been opened correctly.
