The Port Scanner Report uses SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) interfaces to obtain TCP/IP information. This information is found in kernel tables like PMIB_TCPTABLE and PMIB_UPDTABLE. These tables are accessed to retrieve information on port state and other connection information.

Note:  The NetIQ Vulnerability Manager Agent for Windows 5.0 does not support the Port Scanner Report by proxy.  You must have an agent installed on every machine that you query for this report.
