The Audit and Secure Service (agent) and the Detect Service each require a license key. License keys, and the procedures for installing them, are different for local and remote installations.

To install the license locally:

  1. The license key for both the agent and the Detect Service is included in a .reg file for local installation.
  2. To update the system with the required licensing entries, double-click the .reg file on the computer where the the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows component is installed.
  3. The installation is now complete for the component or components on this host computer. 
  4. The Detect Service and the VigilEnt Security Agent Service must be restarted before the .reg file will be applied.
