The VigilEnt Secuirty Agent for Windows can be set up to monitor services and alert you if they have stopped. This functionality can be configured during the local software installation or remote deployment. Additionally, the utility used to set up this functionality can be accessed using the command prompt, as shown below.

  1. Click Start | Run and type CMD to open a command prompt.
  2. Change Directory (CD ) to the following default program directory:
    • C:\Program Files\Pentasafe\RInstall\pss
  3. Type vsacfg.exe HOSTNAME (Local Host), where localhost is the name of the computer on which the services are being monitored.
