symptom
The VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows/NT Query Registry Value report does not return any information.

cause
The ?Query Registry Value? report cannot return information for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key if the Detect Service is running under the Local System account. 

fix

1. Change the account that is starting the VigilEnt Detect Service by opening the Services window. 
2. Select VigilEnt Detect Service and right click and choose Properties.
3. Select the Log On tab and choose This Account.
4. Click the Browse button to browse for an account that has permission to access the registry key on that machine.
5. Restart the VigilEnt Detect Service.
