For versions of the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows prior to 3.2 a Pending folder is automatically created in the %Program Files%\Pentasafe\NTDetect directory when communication with VigilEnt Security Manager (VSM) is interrupted. This folder will hold alerts and try to send them to VSM every five seconds until communication is recovered.

In version 3.2 of the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows, the VigilEnt Engine is used to send alerts. If communication with VSM fails, the VigilEnt Engine will cache the alerts and send them to VSM when communication is recovered.
