symptom
The option to deploy license keys is not available in the remote deployment options.

cause

The Hide file extensions for known file types option is selected.  The file shows up as install.ini (as it was named), but because Windows is hiding .ini files the actual file name is install.ini.ini.



fix

To resolve this issue, please refer to the following:

 

  1. Open Windows Explorer and Select Tools | Folder Options | View.
  2. Deselect the Hide file extensions for known file types checkbox.
  3. Perform a search for the install.ini.ini file.
     
  4. Rename the file to install.ini and the option for license key deployment should now be available.
