VigilEnt Security Manager
The VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows becomes non-responsive.
This behavior can be caused by the event logs being full on the machine being audited. If this is the case, the agent service will stop.
To prevent this issue from occurring, set the event logs to overwrite as needed. The following steps below outline how to set the event logs on a target machine to overwrite:
- Click Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer.
- In the tree view in the left hand pane, right click Application Log and select Properties.
- In the Log size section, select the radio button, Overwrite logs as needed.
- Click OK.
With this option selected, each new event replaces the oldest event when the log is full.
