The DPLSRV.TXT file is created during the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows local or remote installation.   To locate the log, refer to the following steps:

  1. Run the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows installation for local or remote deployment, and proceed through the entire install to the screen where the Finish button appears.  DO NOT SELECT FINISH. 

  2. Through Windows explorer locate the current users temp directory - normally located on c:\documents and settings\(current User)\local settings\temp.

  3. Within the temp directory, locate the folder named PINxxx.tmp (where x equals a different integer).

  4. Copy/paste the folder to a separate location.

  5. Once this is completed, go back to the installation screen and select the Finish button.

  6. Once Finish has been selected, the Remote Deployment tool will delete the PINxxx.tmp folder.
