The VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows (VSAWN) VSANT Components are software components required for certain agent functionality. VSANT Components must be installed on all target computers against which the following reports are to be run:

• Port Scan
  
• Microsoft Patch Level Query
  
• All password-related reports
  
  

To manually install the components:

1. Insert the 'VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows' CD in the appropriate drive of the local machine.
   
2. Open 'Windows Explorer' and navigate to the CD drive.
   
3. Double-click the Install.exe file. The installation wizard will appear, click Next.
   
4. Select the "I accept the terms of the license agreement" checkbox and click Next.
   
5. Expand the VSANT tree, select the 'VSANT Components' check box and clickNext.
   
6. Click Next again and verify the installation summary.
   
7. If the installation summary is correct, click Next to install the VSANT Components.
   
8. If the installation summary is not correct then click the back button twice and verify you have the proper components selected.  Then go back to step 6 and continue.

VSANT components are installed with the full version of the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows.
