fix

Follow the steps below to add or remove hosts from the agent summary table.

  1. Click Manage Agents in the Admin panel to open the Agent Manager utility.

  2. Select Host | Edit Hosts to display the Edit/View List of Hosts to Analyze dialog box.

  3. If you want to add new hosts, type the name of the host in the field to the right of the Add button, and click Add.

Note: To add multiple hosts, delimit the host names with a semicolon (;). If you installed the agents using an alternate uagent or uvserv port, type the appropriate port number in the Uagent field and the Uvserv field before clicking Add.

Optional:

  1. Click Discover Hosts to automatically discover all known hosts. The Select Host(s) dialog box appears.

    1. Use the check boxes in the Select Host(s) dialog box to indicate what sources and filters you would like to use to populate the host list. You can choose any of the following options:

      • DNS?Obtains host name information from a DNS server.

      • Local Hosts File?Obtains host name information from the specified local hosts file.

      • My Hosts File?Obtains host information from a text file that you select.

      • Filter?Filters the list in the left panel. Only host names that contain the filter string appear in the list.

    2. When you are finished selecting the options, click Update Host List.

    3. Select the hosts you want to add in the left panel and click OK. The hosts that you selected appear in the Current Hosts panel.

  2. If you want to delete hosts, select the hosts that you want to delete in the Current Hosts panel, and click Delete Selected Hosts.

  3. When the hosts in the Current Hosts panel corresponds with the hosts that you want to see in the agent summary table, click Save and proceed to Scanning Hosts.

Note: If you specified alternate ports for agents, you must select the hosts that have alternate ports in the left panel, and then specify the ports in the Uagent Port field and the Uvserv Port field before clicking OK.
