symptom
VigilEnt Security Manager shows the VigilEnt Security Agent for MS SQL server as OFFLINE when it is actually running.

cause
Upon start-up of the VigilEnt Security Manager console, a MS SQL server agent icon may erroneously display a database server as unavailable when it is actuality available.

fix
The actual status of MS SQL Server can be verified by executing a heartbeat check or by running a task against the endpoint.
