symptom
ZPSE subsystem ends while performing a heartbeat check in VigilEnt Security Manager.

symptom
The PSEAGENT job starts under subsystem ZPSE.

cause
PSOBJOWN message queue does not exist in library QUSRSYS

fix

At a command line type PSMENU and follow the steps below:

  1. Type WRKSPLF PSOBJOWN and press Enter.
  2. Review the most recent entry for an error message (most likely *MSGQ PSOBJOWN in library QUSRSYS does not exist).
  3. Return to the Command Line.
  4. Type CRTMSGQ MSGQ(QUSRSYS/PSOBJOWN) TEXT('PentaSafe Message Queue') press Enter.
  5. Repeat same command above for 'PSOBJOWNS'  to create the second message queue.
  6. Stop and start 'ZPSE' subsystem and try the VSM request again.
