These instructions apply to all supported versions of PSAudit.
To restrict access to specific menus, please follow the steps below:
- Type PSMENU at a Command Line, Press Enter.
- Select Option 70 Utilities Menu, Press Enter.
- Select Option 2 Maintain Option Authorities, Press Enter
- Select Option 6 Select Other Application, Press Enter.
- Insert a "1" next to PA in the 'Application Selection' Screen, press Enter.
- Select Option 2 Function/Options Menu, Press Enter.
- Select Option 2 Work With Menus, Press Enter.
- From the Work With Menus screen, insert a "9" (User Security) next to the user to be worked with. Grant or Revoke access to this particular menu.
- To Grant or Revoke Access to specific Reports within the menus, follow step 1 through 6 above and select Option 1- Work With Cmds& Programs for step 7. Insert a "9" (User Security) next to the user to be worked with.
In addition, Check Authority must be turned on for the menus/cmds/programs. To do this, follow the instructions below:
- Type PSMENU on the Command Line, Press Enter.
- Select Option 70 Utilities Menu, Press Enter.
- Select Option 2 Maintain Option Authorities, Press Enter.
- Select Option 6 Select Other Application, Press Enter.
- Insert a "1" next to PA in the 'Application Select' Screen, Press Enter.
- Select Option 2 Function/Options Menu, Press Enter.
- Select Option 2 Work With Menus, Press Enter.
- Insert a "1" next to the Menu to be worked with. Press Enter.
- Verify that 'Check Authority' is *YES, from the Function Update Screen
- To Check Authority for cmds & Programs, follow steps 1-6. For Step 7, select Option 1- Work With cmds & Programs. Insert a "1" next to the CMD/Program to be worked with.
