To apply a CUM PTF, how do I cycle my servers/subsystem from Remote Request Management if I am going to be in a Restricted State?

Perform the following steps in the order listed below: 

  1. Remove exit programs as documented in the upgrade/CUM installation instructions.
  2. Take the system to Restricted state (this accomplishes taking servers and subsystems down).
  3. Upgrade and/or apply CUM.
  4. Install the exit programs per the instructions and bring the system out of Restricted state.

This accomplishes the same process as cycling via RRM menu options.
