To restrict a user from adding an agent or endpoint, use one of the following procedures, depending on which product you are running:

      In VigilEnt Security Manager:

1. Go to Tools.
2. Select Task Permissions.
3. In the Available Users and Roles, indicate the VigilEnt Security Manager User profile.
4. Select the VigilEnt tab.
5. Select the Deny for All button.
6. Put a check by the Add Server box and the Add Server Group box.
7. Click Apply. Click OK.

      In Vulnerability Manager:

1. From the pull down menu at the top of the screen, change the view mode from Normal to Advanced.
2. Under the NetIQ Vulnerability Manager tree in the left-hand pane, select Console Permissions.
3. Select ConsoleUsers to view all of the VM users.
4. Select the VM User in the right hand pane.
5. Click Permissions at the bottom right of the screen.
6. Select the Console tab. 
7. Put checks next to Add Endpoint and Register Agent or endpoint.
8. Click Deny for All.

9. Click Apply. Click OK.
