The Library Analysis portion of System Auditing and Reporting can be used to list objects in libraries, and can also be used to group libraries. Here is the menu path from a command line:

  1. Access PSMENU, and press Enter.

  2. Select Option 1 PSAudit, and press Enter.

  3. Select Option 1 System Auditing and Reporting, and press Enter.

  4. Select Option 4 Library Reports Menu, and press Enter.

  5. Select Option 1 Library Analysis By Library; or, select Option 8 Work with Library Group and Option 9 Library Group Analysis.

Option 1, Library Analysis by Library will list the number of objects for each library. If grouping libraries would be helpful, do the following:

  1. Using Option 8, create some groups of libraries (perhaps grouping by use or application).

  2. Then, before running an Analysis (Option 9), get out of and back in to Option 8, as this refreshes the list of groups.

  3. Be sure you see your new groups listed before running the Analysis.
