fact
System Auditing and Reporting (SAR)

symptom
Unable to exclude profile QSECOFR from the 'Any Action to User Profiles'  or 'Crt, Chg, Restore of User Profiles' reports.

symptom
Filter indicates that field name, 'CPONAM', should not equal 'qsecofr' (lower case).

cause
The compare value is not upper case in the filter.

fix

The compare value must be specified in upper case.  The filter query definition line should read:

 Field              Operator
Name            Value           Value (quotes are not needed)

 CPONAM         NE                QSECOFR

To access the filtering feature for any SAR report, do the following from the Report Submittal Window:

  1. Press F9=Filter.
  2. Press F6=Add New Filter.
  3. Enter a Filter Name and a Description in the fields provided, and press Enter.
  4. Select Option 2=Update next to the newly created filter, and press Enter.
  5. Press F4=Select Fields and  place an X next to the field (in this case CPONAM) to be filtered, and press Enter.
  6. Type the Operator Value and Value as noted above, and press Enter. Then press F12 to return to list of filters.
  7. Press F12 again to return to the Report Submittal Window.
  8. Type the name of your newly created filter in the Filter Name field and run the report as normal.
