symptom
Unexpected results are received when running the 'What If Playback' in Remote Request Management.

fix

In Remote Request Management (RRM), the "What If Playback" uses data which has already been logged in the RRM transaction journal. This transaction logging is performed only if the "Log Incoming Transactions" parameter for the exit points has been set to *YES.

The 'Log Incoming Transactions' parameter can be set to *YES by doing the following:

  1. At a command line, type PSMENU and press Enter.
  2. Select Option 2 PSSECURE and press Enter.
  3. Select Option 3 Remote Request Management and press Enter.
  4. Select Option 8 Work With Exit Points and press Enter.
  5. Press F11 three (3) times to switch to the view that shows the five "Log..." exit point parameters.
  6. The column labeled "Log Inc Tran" contains the on/off parameter for logging What If transactions; use Option 2=Edit to change the value to *YES for the desired exit points.

note
Setting the "Log Incoming Transactions" parameter to *YES for the "What If" exit points does not log transactions to the RRM journal.
