Error: 'Error detected in prompt override program string'

symptom

When a user enters :AAA in the user field on the submittal screen of the Object Report by User report in the Remote Request Management module, the following error message may occur:

  • Error detected in prompt override program string


cause

This issue occurs because an incorrect parameter was entered in the User Name field.   Only a user profile name is valid in this field; group names are not accepted. 



fix
To correct the issue, please refer to the following steps

  1. Enter the following syntax at a command prompt and hit Enter:
    • UPDDTA PSCOMMON/AP1020F.
  2. Enter the user profile that receives the error in the USER PROFILE ID field.
  3. Enter the word user in the FIELD ID field and press Enter.
  4. Enter *ALL in the Requested parameter value field and press Enter.
  5. Press F3 and then Enter.
