symptom
When changing the sign on display device name to a specific name, it reverts back to a name of the format QPADEV* each time I sign back on.

An upgrade was completed to PSSecure Remote Request Management 7.0.

cause
There is an option in PSSecure on the "Manage RRM" screen called "Change Telnet Attributes", which provides the user the option of allowing the naming of display devices. 

fix
The following steps will enable the naming of display devices:

  1. On a command line, type PSMENU, and press Enter.

  2. Select Option 2 PSSecure, and press Enter.

  3. Select Option 3 Remote Request Management, and press Enter.

  4. Select Option 30 Manage RRM, and press Enter.

  5. Select Option 21 Change Telnet Attribute, and press Enter.

  6. Press F9 to see All Parameters.

  7. For "Allow display device naming" specify *YES, and press Enter.
