symptom
Unable to see the 'Set modem to ASYNC' command field when typing 'DSPLIND ZPSD' on a command line.

cause
In order to see the 'Set modem to ASYNC' command field you must have the 'Line Connection Type' field set to S=Switched.

fix

To set the 'Line Connection Type' field to S=Switched, refer to the steps below:

  1. At a Command Line type PSMENU , press Enter.
  2. Select Option 3 PSDetect, press Enter.
  3. Select Option 2 Work with Monitors, press Enter.
  4. Arrow down to the Paging Monitor and insert a '20' (20=System Defaults), press Enter.
  5. Locate the 'Line connection type' field and insert an 'S' (S=Switched), press Enter.
  6. Select F3 (F3=Exit).
