A message appears at the bottom of the screen indicating the profile has been deleted.

The user profile is not deleted from the AS/400 when deleting a profile that owns objects in Option 1, 'Work with User Profiles'.

cause
Profile and Password Management, Option 1 'Work with User Profiles' does not support deleting and/or archiving AS/400 user profiles that own objects. PTF 1S00104 for 6.3 and 1S01523 for 7.0 implement a displayed message, explaining that there is failure to delete the profile.

fix

Within Profile and Password Management, 'Work with User Profiles' screen, the ability to delete user profiles that own objects is provided with PTF 1S00112 for version 6.3 and PTF 1S01528 for version 7.0. When attempting to delete a user profile and objects are owned by the profile, an interface will appear asking for the name of a user to whom object ownerships will be transferred, and deletion of the profile can continue.
