VigilEnt Security Agent for iSeries is not authorized to service program WRKUSRSPC in PSAUDIT.

An AS/400 user is getting an error in the job log when signing off.

Error: "Not authorized to service program WRKUSRSPC in PSAUDIT."

fix
The service program object is secured by the authorization list PSAUDIT; therefore, the profile concerned needs to be granted authority to the product PSAudit.

  1. Type PSMENU at the command line to access the main menu.

  2. Select option 70 (Utilities menu).

  3. Select option 1 (Authorize users to products).

  4. Enter the profile name in the User field, PSA for the Product field, and *GRANT for the Authority field.

  5. Press Enter, and a job is submitted, which will add the user to the authorization list.

Please be aware that the profile in question will now have authority to use the NetIQ product (formerly a PentaSafe product). An alternate solution is to change the *PUBLIC authority for the service program PSAUDIT/WRKUSRSPC to *USE rather than *AUTL.
